DESIGN PROPOSAL

Our competition entry for a new train station and transport hub in Mayrhofen, Austria. The proposal breaks down the large building into smaller volumes so that the language is more suitable for a small mountain town of 4,000 inhabitants in the Alps. The use of green roofs and charred wood on the façades softens the appearance and minimises the impact of the scale.
