Competition proposal for the façade of an existing DDR-era prefabricated office block in the centre of Berlin. Our design focused on breaking the existing horizontality of the existing concrete construction and accentuating the verticality, while simultaneously allowing a great degree of flexibility for the internal layout with the use of a fairly narrow grid. We proposed the use of colour as an improvement to the current monotone surroundings of the Alexanderplatz quarter.
